Vending Machine
"Millisecond Response · Endless Durability" — High Start-Stop Endurance Brushless Motor Dispensing Assembly
Motor Types: DC Brushed Motor + Worm Gear/Planetary Gear Reducer / DC Brushless Motor + Precision Gearbox
Application Case:
A vending machine typically integrates 4 to 8 miniature DC geared motors internally, taking on critical roles including the spiral spring dispensing mechanism (propelling products to drop), elevating cargo platform (smoothly delivering products to the retrieval outlet), paddle/turntable mechanism (for directional dispensing of bottled or canned goods), and the automatic opening and closing of the retrieval outlet flap. The motors drive each station through frequent start-stop cycles, with hundreds of operations per day, requiring stable performance across a wide temperature range of -10°C to 50°C, while delivering sufficient output torque to handle products of varying weights and shapes.

The spiral spring dispensing mechanism employs a DC brushed motor paired with a worm gear reducer, utilizing the worm's self-locking characteristic to ensure that products remain securely stationed in the chute during non-dispensing periods, preventing accidental drops due to vehicle vibration or tilting. The elevating cargo platform, on the other hand, is recommended to adopt a brushless DC motor solution with closed-loop speed control to achieve smooth lifting and lowering, preventing bottled beverages or fragile items from tipping over or being damaged due to sudden speed changes during transport. The retrieval outlet flap utilizes a miniature planetary gear motor to provide sufficient torque within a confined space to drive the opening and closing of the flap.
Our Product Advantages:
Superior Start-Stop Endurance Design: Tailored for the vending machine's high-frequency, low-duty-cycle (intermittent) operating conditions, featuring enhanced carbon brush formulation and thickened commutators, achieving a start-stop cycle life of over 500,000 cycles, meeting the full lifecycle requirements of vending machines
Wide Temperature Range Adaptability: Equipped with specialty wide-temperature lubricating grease, ensuring gear non-jamming and grease non-solidification under extreme conditions from -20°C to 60°C, adapting to harsh outdoor unattended vending machine installation environments
Low-Noise Silent Dispensing: Optimized worm-helical gear meshing parameters, with overall operating noise controlled at ≤45dB, preventing noise disturbance in commercial settings
Anti-Jamming Overload Protection: Built-in PTC thermistors and over-current detection circuits automatically cut off power upon chute jamming or product blockage, preventing motor burn-out
Low Standby Power Consumption: Static standby current as low as ≤10μA, compatible with battery-powered mobile vending machines or solar-assisted charging scenarios
Addressing Market Pain Points:
Long-standing pain points in conventional vending machines include: ① product jamming leading to motor stall and burn-out; ② excessive motor noise causing disturbance in office areas or during nighttime operation; ③ outdoor models suffering dispensing failures due to grease solidification at low temperatures; ④ significant variation in pushing force requirements across different product weights (from lightweight gum to heavy beverage cases), making it difficult for a single torque-rated motor to cover all scenarios. Our solution addresses the burn-out pain point through overload self-protection, resolves the noise issue through silent gear optimization, eliminates temperature-related failures through wide-temperature lubrication, and tackles product weight differentiation through customizable reduction ratios (configuring different torque outputs for different chutes).
