Electric curtains are one of the most mature and widely-used applications of micro DC gear motors in smart homes. Traditional electric curtain motors are relatively large, requiring more installation space, which affects home aesthetics. Electric curtains require a core power source that is compact, high-torque, low-noise, and energy-efficient. Motors use a reduction gearbox to convert high-speed, low-torque input into low-speed, high-torque output to smoothly drive curtain tracks. To suit home environments, motors are typically designed for safe voltages under 24V, with sizes shrinkable to around 37mm.
